It's important to properly tend to your new grass after it's been installed to ensure healthy growth and a beautiful, lush appearance. With every new sod installation, we recommend doing the following:
Cutting to a Reasonable Length - Cutting it too short will deter growth, leave an 18" ribbon to grow more grass.
Controlling Sun Exposure - Too much sun will dry it out.
Giving Ample Water - Not watering enough will kill it.
With proper care, your new grass will begin to root three to four weeks after it's been installed. You may want to consider having a sprinkler system installed on your property to ensure it's watered on a routine basis. We install sprinkler systems and can install one for you.
